Why the King James Bible?

The KJV and the Preserved Word of God

We present the gospel using the King James Version alone, and people often ask why. This page explains our reasons simply and respectfully.

Four Centuries of Faithful Service

The King James Bible, completed in 1611, has served English-speaking Christians for over four centuries. It was translated by dozens of scholars working carefully from the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament and the Greek Received Text (Textus Receptus) of the New Testament. Many believers trust these underlying texts as a faithful line of transmission of the Scriptures.

Precision and Reverence of Language

We also value the reverence and precision of the KJV's language. It distinguishes singular and plural "you" (thee, thou, ye), which can clarify meaning that is lost in some modern renderings. Its enduring, dignified style has shaped English worship, hymns, and memory verses for generations.

God's Promise to Preserve His Word

Above all, we believe God has preserved His Word, as the Psalmist declares:

"The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."

Psalm 12:6–7 (KJV)

Using a single, consistent translation also helps people memorize Scripture together and compare passages without confusion.

Our Heart in This

Our aim is never to divide, but to point every reader to the Lord Jesus Christ and the salvation He offers. Whatever questions you have about the Bible, we would love to help.

Read the Gospel for Yourself

The most important message in the King James Bible is the plan of salvation — God's free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
